Acupuncture & Dry Needling
Dry Needling also known as Intra Muscular Stimulation (IMS) is a process which involves the insertion of acupuncture needles into muscles in order to alleviate pain and stimulate healing.
Generally this technique is used in the treatment of injuries and their associated pain, along with muscular pain and stiffness.
The needle is inserted directly into the myofacial trigger point which acts to increase circulation and thus speed up the repair of the surrounding tissue.
Graston technique
Graston technique is the breaking down of scar tissue and fascia that is causing restriction. The general goal is to reduce the patients pain and increase mobility by bringing blood to the area to promote healing.
Adjustment
An adjustment is a manipulation of the spine to remove any nerve interference so your body restore mobility and heal properly. The adjustment is done on restricted areas with a gentle and specific thrust. The adjustment can vary depending on the technique that is used that is specific to the patients needs.
Cox flexion and distraction
Flexion-Distraction therapy is performed on a segmented table that moves as the chiropractor slowly manipulates your spine. The manipulations combined with the movements of the table, stretch and decompress your spine, relieving your pain. Some of the problems commonly treated with this technique bulging and herniated disc, relieve pain and numbness, sciatica and, reduce pressure on your spinal nerves and discs.
Kinesiology Taping
If you have watched a competitive sport and see a colorful tape splayed in a pattern that’s kinesiology tape! Kinesiology tape is therapeutic tape that is applied strategically to the body to provide support, lessen pain, reduce swelling, and improve performance.
Cupping
Cupping is a form of therapy that is done using special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. The suction created by the cup encourages blood flow and this increased circulation may promote healing and reduce pain. People get cupping done for many purpose’s some common ones are to help with back pain, tension, inflammation, blood flow, migraines and, as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Radiographs
We have added a new digital radiograph machine!
What does this mean for you? You do not have to go to another area to have x-rays taken. We do highly recommend getting an x-ray at your first office visit. This radiograph will give us a better idea of what is going on in your body and the best way to treat it!
